Representing ITKF Global, Czech delegate Robin Baŕák is taking part in the activities of the 29th TAFISA World Congress — The Association For International Sport for All — being held from May 13 to 17 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Recognized as one of the leading international forums dedicated to the development of sport and physical activity on a global scale, the congress brings together representatives of sports organizations, experts, administrators, researchers, and institutional leaders from different continents. The central theme of the 2026 edition is “Sport for All: Building Bridges for Inclusion, Equity and Harmony.”
TAFISA World Congresses are traditionally marked by their multicultural atmosphere and the exchange of experiences among organizations connected to the global Sport for All movement. Organizers expect approximately 500 participants from more than 100 countries throughout the event.

The historical roots of the congress date back to the Trim and Fitness Conferences, the predecessor of today’s TAFISA, first launched in Oslo, Norway, in 1969. Since 1991, TAFISA World Congresses have been held across different regions of the world, establishing themselves as international platforms for discussions on sports policies, social inclusion, physical activity, health, and human development through sport.
In addition to lectures, panels, and institutional meetings, the congress is also widely recognized for its networking opportunities and international collaboration among federations, confederations, universities, sports organizations, and government representatives.
ITKF expands its institutional presence on the international stage
During the program in Prague, Robin Baŕák also participated in meetings with representatives of international federations, reinforcing ITKF Global’s institutional presence within the international sports governance environment and strengthening relationships with organizations connected to the Sport for All movement.
This Friday’s schedule also includes the TAFISA General Assembly, considered the most important moment of the congress, during which the new Executive Committee members and the organization’s next president will be elected.
As an affiliated member organization of TAFISA, ITKF Global will have voting rights and active participation in the electoral process, further strengthening its institutional position within one of the world’s most relevant organizations dedicated to the development of Sport for All.
